Description / Biog
My business is stained glass design and manufacture. I moved from Holland to Ireland in 1995 and at this time a friend introduced me to glass as a material to work with and we opened a small plan studio in Sligo. We manufactured decorative glass and stained glass windows . In 2003, I moved into my own workshop. I feature my work in the Waterfront Gallery in Rosses Point and smaller pieces in several craftshops in Sligo, Cat & Moon etc. I love glass as a material to work with, it looks hard and cold, but light transforms it and makes it look warm, sunny and sparkly. I am currently working on a project for Knock airport - 3 or 4 windows for a new prayer room aswell as working on small pieces in gift presentation for craft shops.
