Description / Biog
At Holly Cottage Crafts, I make unique patchwork cot quilts, throws, table runners, wall hangings and cushions. Following a long family tradition of creative crafts, I have always had an interest in needlework and have extended my skills to include patchwork and quilting. Since moving to the Fermanagh lakes in 2003, I have been inspired by the surroundings to create unique patchwork pieces. The quilts are designed by a process combining mathematics and colour with accurate needlework. Each piece is hand cut and machine sewn. Most are machine quilted. The design process is important and each quilt is a unique combination of pattern and fabrics. I am currently working on custom made small quilts, table runners, cushions and wall hangins to customers' specific requirements and colours. The pieces are made from pure cotton fabric, with polyester wadding amd cotton/polyester backing.
