Description / Biog
When I was a child my dream was to become a seamstress, just like my grandmother. I also made a musical instrument of everything I could lay my hands on. Finally I chose the violin and I became a musician, and for 10 years I have been employed by the Nordic Chamber Orchestra in Sundsvall. One morning five years ago I looked at my grandmother's lace top sheets with monograms. Beautiful but impractical! This is how I got the idea of turning them into duvet covers, calling them Ottilia which was my grandmother's name, and starting a business of my own called 'Annika Wångby Syateljé'. I make duvet covers either from antique lace sheets or from new fabric and lace on which I embroider monograms. I use only material made of natural fibres.
