Description / Biog
My business, Arroo, involves the design and manufacture of painted panel or canvas room screens, fire screens and related home accessories. I also produce tea trays and a small range of textiles including tea cosies, hot water bottle covers and cushion covers the designs of which complement the painted panel objects.
Current designs are inspired by antique textile and architectural ornament and are created to have a contemporary feeling. The products are both functional and also a focal point in home interiors. In addition to the standard products offered here, bespoke work is also undertaken.
Arroo is a new business begun in 2005. I am formerly a curator and arts administrator with a B.A. and an M.A. in art history.
