Description / Biog
Well known as a visual artist working mainly in Pen & Ink Sandra also works with paper in different forms. Her drawings are mainly to commission, privately or as prints for retail, drawn for specific locations and outlets.
Using fine handmade and re-cycled papers, Sandra sculpts decorative and useful objects. These have a light and textured feel, looking delicate but, in fact, surprisingly resilient. This range includes decorative footwear ( which can be individualised for weddings, presentations etc.), bowls and table lamps. There is now a new range of innovatively designed floor and table lamps made with Tree Bark Fibres from the Philippines. The “Cobweb” range was one of the winners in “Index” Top 50 New Products at Showcase 2006.
As with her drawings, Sandra works mainly to order, matching colour and design to the customers needs, but also has a range of stock to choose from.
