Description / Biog
I have always been fascinated by fabric and yarn in different colours. I enjoy organising colours and qualities and combine different materials. This is why weaving rugs, cushion covers, bedspreads, wall hangings and other home accessories has become such an enjoyable work to me. During the last few year I have been running a cafe together with my sisters. We also run a gallery and I have my weaving studio adjacent to the cafe named 'Docksta Textilcafé'. The techniques I use are specialised and traditional to the area. I use both new and old fabric material which I dye and cut. I mostly use cotton and linen in my weaving. I am inspired by the traditional cultural textile heritage from Ångermanland and create my own designs from it
