This painting was inspired by the people who lost their lives and those left behind. In the midst of the fire ripping through the buildings there is an unseen presence. In this desperate situation they are not alone. The bowl was inspired by a sculpture of a chalice in St Paul’s Church (next to the twin towers). It was made using steel from the ruins of the Twin Towers. A gold hand representing God embraces the bowl – collecting every tear.
