An exciting part of this initiative is offering the opportunity for producers to participate in national and international trade shows – at NO COST ! This not only gives producers a chance to showcase and sell their products but also opens up networking opportunities where experience and expertise is learned and shared.
Two specific trade events are involved
* ‘Showcase’, RDS, Dublin January 22nd to 25th 2006
This four-day event brought a host of international buyers from over thirty countries into Dublin where they mingled with buyers from the four corners of Ireland to do business at this unique and dynamic trade fair. Showcase is recognised as an important international event in the buyer calendar and has established an excellent reputation for the quality and diversity of products on display.

* ‘Formex’, Stockholm , Sweden August 31st – September 3rd 2006
‘Formex’ is Scandinavia's leading trade fair which has been around for more than forty years and has become the obvious and ideal meeting place for all of the Scandinavian design, handicraft, folk arts, decorating and gifts industries. Formex is held twice a year (Spring & Autumn time).
Source: developing rural creativity will be taking a group stand at Formex this Autumn. The fair runs from August 31st to September 3rd in Stockholm and up to 18 producers from Fermanagh, Leitrim/North Roscommon and Sligo areas have been chosen to display their products on the Source group stand, along with products from products from producers located in the Vasternorrland region – our Swedish partners in the Source programme.
